Edgebanding

We can edge your panels using one of two options for strong application bonding: standard EVA hotmelt glue.

Hotmelt EVA (Ethylene Vinyl Acetate) glue bonds 1mm and 2mm ABS and wood veneer edgings to match the décor of your panels. A very thin bond line is visible between the panel and edging. This is a tried and tested method of application and is best suited for bedroom and office furniture and dry area panels. We have over 300 ABS edgings in stock and access to hundreds more.

We also offer real wood veneer edgings to match pre-veneered boards and 0.6mm preparation tape for MDF panels, both edging types are applied via standard EVA glue application. We recommend MDF preparation tape for the visible edges of raw MDF panels that are for a paint finish since there is then no need to sand exposed edges before priming each panel.

The maximum thickness of board we can edge band is 60mm.

The minimum part size that we can edge band all around is 60mm x 150mm.

We can edge your panels with a 1mm radius profile, 2mm radius profile or you can choose to have them simply square edged.

Edging profiles explained

1mm radius profile with corner rounding

A softer profile for 1mm edgings and for a 1mm profile on panels with 0.6mm MDF preparation tape applied.

1mm radius profile with corner rounding
2mm radius profile with corner rounding

Suitable for 2mm edging thicknesses and for a 2mm profile on panels with 0.6mm MDF preparation tape applied.

2mm radius profile with corner rounding
Square edge without corner rounding

A sharp profile for 1mm or 2mm edging thicknesses or for panels with 0.6mm MDF preparation tape applied.

Square edge without corner rounding
